The best books for self-development

When you are working on becoming a ‘better’ person than you were yesterday (this does not mean better than another person) your life and it’s circumstances will improve. It’s all about looking internally and then changing the way you act externally to create your best life.

Reading is a great way to learn, grow, evolve, get inspired and feel motivated to reach your full potential.

Reading also helps sharpen your mind, reduce your stress levels, improves your memory and it can enhance your imagination, plus books contain all kinds of information wisdom, stories, thoughts and feelings unlike anything else in this world.



1. You Are A Badass – Jen Sincero

This book is all about going for what you want, getting over your shit and realizing that you have to want your dreams more than your drama to create your best life and have major breakthroughs.

2. The Power & The Secret – Both books are by Rhonda Byrne

The Power is all about asking for what you want in life and learning how to attract it through manifestation, love and gratitude. I’ve read this book front to back three times and I still love it.

3. The Untethered Soul: The Journey Beyond Yourself – Michael A. Singer 

This book is all about discovering who you truly are. You need to figure out who you are and what you want in order to reach your full potential. This book will really help you gain a new sense of awareness and open your eyes.

  • The Ripple Effect – Greg Wells (This was the first book I read in 2018. It’s amazing, I highly recommend it to everyone).

  • The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success – Deepak Chopra (I read this one this year to and I LOVED it).

  • The Universe has your Back – Gabrielle Bernstein (I have the audiobook, and I listen to it regularly! I’m a fan of Gabrielle Bernstein)

  • How to Win Friends and Influence People - Dale Carnegie (Everyone should read this book! Great messages in this one).

  • The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck – Mark Manson

  • The Power of Now – Eckart Tolle

  • The Defining Decade – Why Your 20’s Matter and How to Make the Most of them Now – Meg Jay

  • Big Magic - Elizabeth Gilbert

  • Daring Greatly – Brene Brown

  • Making Sense of Mindfulness – Keith MacPherson

  • Judgement Detox – Gabrielle Bernstein (I haven’t read this one yet, but I can’t wait).

  • Perseverance - Tim Hague

  • Daring Greatly - Brene Brown

  • Blink - Malcolm Gladwell
